pDKStreamline4-Neo is a compact vector with the Neomycin resistance marker. While optimized for protein expression, this vector can be used as a shuttle vector.
Features Include:
- Small size – backbone around 3.8kb
- High expression – The B-Actin promoter from Chicken is one of the strongest, native, promoters. While not as strong as viral promoters, like CMV or RSV, it may be less likely to be deactivated through methylation compared to viral promoters. It is expressed in nearly all cells, making this an excellent choice when you want a strong, natural promoter.
- Easy insertion of homology arms – rationally designed restriction sites allow for the easy insertion of homology arms for genomic targeting and/or viral LTRs for easy virus assembly
- Minimized vector backbone – reduces or eliminates unneeded sequence to be included in your expression system.
- This resistance marker has been engineered to provide Kanamycin resistance in prokaryotes and Neomycin resistance (such as G418) in eukaryotes.
- Patent Pending
NOTE: The XbaI site is NOT blocked by methylation.
